A Corporeal Cartography of Radical Non-Linearity
Allen Wang
Radical non-linearity means to read between the lines. How might non-linear maps challenge us to re-evaluate place and time through the body?
I want to explore phenomenological questions of how we know where we are and where we are going, using our own tangible body as a frame of reference. This alternative approach to way-finding offers a uniquely-intimate perspective on how we can eke out a little room within the rigidly-structured world around us, to wander in it without being lost.
These prototypes activate the liminality of glocalized borderscapes through a situationist practice of non-mapping
