How can we help prevent nurse burnout in the workplace?

Occupational stress in Toronto hospitals can lead to poor mental health and increased likelihood of workplace errors. Nurses must constantly tend to patients’ needs and demands, making them susceptible to occupational stress. Furthermore, unfavorable staff-to-patient ratios in many hospitals makes burnout a common problem which can jeopardize the health of the patients being cared for. How can we help take care of them in the same manner that they care for us?

Studies have shown that exposure to nature leads to reduced levels of anxiety, stress, and depression. By creating playful artifacts that encapsulates nature. Nurses are provided with a tool to combat their mental health on the go.
