Reframe Your Pill Shape By Reframing Your Perception

Amy Kim

How can we challenge society’s perception of stigmatizing illness and medication?

My project supports users who feel the need to hide the act of taking pills in public through challenging the social stigma surrounding abnormality. This project empowers the general public to empathize with the experience of taking pills through a system which provides everyone with their own pill with a personalized shape.

Through this experience, they can proudly represent themselves to others in social interactions. By making the pill ubiquitous like a smartphone, we can normalize their existence and use, so that users won’t have to bear the pressure of reframing societal perceptions alone.
