Touchpoint

How might we challenge and eliminate social barriers that prevent community involvement in Regent Park?

Communication and access to information and support to tackle individual, social, and community issues can be a challenge, especially for communities built of largely newcomer populations from diverse backgrounds.

Touchpoint empowers busy parents living in Regent Park to collaboratively access and build local services, programs, and events through specialized communication hubs situated in the neighbourhood.

Inspired by United Way’s “Building Strong Neighbourhoods Strategy” for greater Toronto, the product/app integration aims to eliminate obstacles that reduce participation in influential community services, by assisting users with the retrieval and interpretation of information from one another and from community service providers.
